The Separation of Parent & Child Continues

I think this story has hit most of the people around the U.S. seeing as how it was just on the news a day ago. There is talk that obese children should be taken away from their parents and put into foster care. Let that marinate with you for a little bit. I’m starting to become confused about what is going on with the American government and the American people. When the issue came up over whether or not kids born to racist parents should be taken away from said parents, people were upset and crying foul. Yet, the same people think it is okay to take obese kids from their parents and put them into foster care, talk about speaking out the anus.

The news was sure to mention one success story where such a thing happened and the boy, who went through it ended up losing weight; however, we all know that one success story does not speak for the countless other stories where it was not a success. There was a compromise being thrown around that other measures could or would be taken before simply taking the child away from their parent. The issue at hand, is whether the other measures would be used before taking the child away or would they be bypassed. This brings up a good point because if the power/consent is given than why should other measures be taken?

I say no to the other “measures” and no to the removal of a child from their parents care simply for being obese. America you are the ones that are shallow and view anything that is not stick skinny as obese, but on the other hand you are the very same culture that gives its people processed foods, which is unhealthy at all costs, you have plenty of fastfood restaurants, especially in the areas with a high concentration of POCs, and you do not pass laws that truly limit toxins from being placed in the foods made in or shipped to America. Yet, because of the diet of fat, fat, fat, and fat you feed these kids, you want to remove them from their parents as though you play no part in their health problems.

Everything is a business, especially the health industry, so lets not get it twisted, not even a little bit. Some blame does fall on the parents and I’m not dismissing that, but since when does the State or Federal government deserve the right to punish kids? I don’t remember that being apart of the Constitution, so lets not try to make up new laws and amendments for the sake of feeling like we are doing something. Any parent that signs on for this is allowing more government control into their lives and in a few years they will regret it, that I can promise.

I can offer a list of things that can change the number of obese kids in America and it does not require putting these kids in foster care; lets start the list: (1) stop internet usage. Growing up I was always outside playing and running around, as all kids should do, and that was usually before me finishing up my homework. Nowadays, I see very few kids outside as it is and that’s even during the summer. Where are these kids? They are on FB or whatever site, talking to people ten years or more their senior that lives on the other side of the world or a couple states away from them and we wonder why we have so many depress and obese kids and teenagers.

(2) The whole family needs to diet. Three main ingredients that need to be cut from everyone’s diet (mine included) is High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), Aspartame, and anything high in white flour. There are other ingredients, but these three you can find in a lot of the foods at the grocery store, especially HFCS. HFCS has been linked with causing cancer (yeah look it up for yourself). So when you are shopping look at the label for these three main ingredients and run away from the product that has it at any cost. The whole family dieting helps because it creates a support system.

(3) Stop giving into these kids tantrums. I cannot list the number of shows where the kids weigh at least 2-5 times more the average weight they are supposed to be and it’s all because the parents give into their tantrums. I know you love your kid(s), at least I hope so, but when is enough, enough? Their tantrums are not to be given into, like seriously, either beat them with the belt or your hand, and if you can’t do either than be stern with them. Do not fall into their trap, heck walk out the room if you have to, just don’t give in! You make them eat fruits and vegetables, they have no say in the matter.

(4) Always find time to excercise and play with your kids, whether its going for a walk, playing tennis, or whatever just do something with them. I always find a walk refreshing and it gives a nice atmosphere to talk about various topics.

There are more to do than these four things but I would consider all to be very instrumental in aiding in keeping kids healthy, but taking kids away from their parents is definitely not one of them.

Justice + In + America= Not for POCs

Okay so this story I heard about a few days ago. The story is about two men in a restroom at a Las Vegas bathroom; one is black and the other is white. The black guy, Benjamin Hawkins, walked into the restroom and the white guy, John Massie, began making a joke about a black guy in a yellow shirt. I don’t get the joke either, but lets we continue. So Mr. Hawkins ignores Massie and finishes up what he’s doing and leaves the bathroom. [The story doesn’t stop there folks].

Massie than follows Hawkins around and insults him with racial slurs despite Hawkins telling him to leave him alone, but you know racist are not satisfied till they get what they deserve. So Mr. Hawkins’ fearing for his safety turns around and punches Massie and as a result the racist goes down only to never come up again. As a commentator on Ankhesen blog stated, that man pulled some old school Mike Tyson ish. So Massie died following that one punch and this is a good time to note that cops were around witnessing Massie verbally abusing Hawkins and did nothing.

I don’t glorify killing anyone, but Massie deserved it. He deserved that punch because he provoked Hawkins. Now I know for a fact that Hawkins did not punch Massie with the intention to kill him, anyone who begs to differ should be slapped. However, Massie had no right to insult Hawkins period. Some people *cough* white people *cough* are calling for Hawkins to be in jail and are saying that Massie had a right to say what he said because of Freedom of Speech.

Oh yes, FOS, the fall back excuse of every racist. Yes there is such a thing as Freedom of Speech and Massie FOS himself into an ass whopping that was justified. Let me walk around without a filter, say whatever I want under the disguise of Freedom of Speech, I guarantee that I would be in jail, so no excuse for Massie. Now I was cheering for Hawkins I will not lie and I feel as though he should definitely go into boxing once all of this is done.

However, I’m not feeling how he is being treated, his bail is being set at , are you kidding me?! Look at those old pale bastards, I mean… the Tea Party, and all the crap they said about President Barrack, I don’t see them going to jail or a nursing home! Let this story be a warning to all racist people who think that FOS protects you from getting your ass whooped, it doesn’t! You cannot scream that you have a right to racially degrade someone because of the First Amendment because look at what Muslim’s are going through and they are supposed to be safe under the First Amendment.

Hawkins should have been set free and his family should not have to pay any bail, Massie provoked him, had Massie kept his mouth close he would have been alive, sucks when you cause your own death huh? I wonder if his family will be able to collect insurance, smh. Mr. Hawkins you are my new hero and many other POCs, not just blacks, would be smart to follow your lead on how to deal with racist buttholes.

The Helper: I Hear Harriet Rolling in Her Grave

So I was sitting down watching T.V. (I really gotta stop) and I see a preview for a movie, now I’m sure there are some of you saying, well what’s bad about that? Well the movie was The Helper and it’s about black woman being sassy servants to rich white families. *Excuse me while I throw up again* All I can say is the pay must be excellent because I am not feeling that BS. One of the women was talking about how this movie reflects a part of African-American history that we tend to gloss over and not talk about.

Really? hmmm how many movies can we go back to and see Aunt Jemima? And thats simply a few years ago, so no it’s not apart of our history we gloss over, it’s a part of our history that not only do we recognize, but we give recognition to the women that played those roles in real life and for the movies, but we do not want to go back to that.

I will post the trailer for the movie here. By the comments some people truly don’t get it, but thats why I truly enjoy this blog by Ankhesen, she and the commentors hit the jackpot when they discussed the nonsense that is this film. Call me too sensitive or whatever comes to mind, I don’t care, you don’t see a movie about white slavery do you? And yes white slavery did happen. I am noticing a sick pattern in certain movies and I may just drop out of the movie watching game. I don’t see my people in movies being treated right all I see are stereotypes. I don’t see any of my POC brothers and sisters being treated right because each of them is stuck in a box.

It seems like most people that are loving this film are whites, especially white women, and all I can say is go-figure. This film just doesn’t appeal to me and for glaring reasons, as I’m getting older I’m noticing things that are glaring forms of racism that are being passed over as the norm without second thought and it’s like wow.

So basic point, I’m not supporting this film, I won’t be surprised if there is a whole bunch of idiotic folks standing in line to see the movie, and I won’t be surprised if the actresses in this movie win awards at the Oscar’s. I’m not supporting BS period, so to the Helper, I raise you my middle finger to the max, duces.

White Privilege Gone Wrong

First, I want to apologize for not updating my post, I have been busy with various things and there have been a number of topics that I have wanted to cover, so I will start with the most recent: The Casey Anthony trial.

So I’m a few days late, but I do find it interesting how the trial, after the verdict, has dropped out so suddenly the public’s eye. Prior to the trial, I never knew or heard about this case, so when they were calling it a ‘national headline’ I had the wtf look on my face.  Moving on, the basics of the trial is that Anthony’s three-year old daughter was missing, later found dead, and the mother did not report her missing until a month later; she also lied to police.

R.I.P to the little girl. It was said that during the month before Anthony reported her daughter missing, she was out partying and having fun. [PAUSE] This part makes me skeptical because I know for a second that I become worried when I do not hear the little one in my house for a few minutes, so I can’t imagine a kid missing for a month and the mother not knowing or caring. Then at some point during the investigation, Anthony lied to police. [PAUSE] Another suspect move, why would she lie to the police? The third suspect event is the fact that the kid was missing for 1 month, before she reported it.

I will not pretend to know all the details about this case because I don’t, but I know some BS when I hear it and a lot in this case is not adding up. I watched on T.V. the outcome of the case along with many others and I can honestly say I was not happy with the outcome. I know some may not agree, but I truly cannot say whether she killed her daughter or not but I know for a fact God will deal with her according to whether she did or not. Earthly justice is corrupt, but Heavenly justice is perfect and righteous.

My friend said that if Anthony did not do it than she knows who did and I find this to be a huge possibility. However, the main thing in the verdict that stuck out to me was the fact that she was not charged with neglect. That part made my mouth drop because the case clearly showed that she was not doing her parental duties at all, again a child should not be missing for a month before the parents calls police. I mean seriously the girl was three years old, where could she have possibly gone by herself? I doubt if she was walking or attempting to go to Disneyland so I am upset with the jury on that front.

One thing I will mention is the fact that Anthony got off because she was white. Yes I said it, everything in America is about race so lets not be stupid. I mean look at OJ, they still wanted him and they eventually got him.  Look at the Michael Vick situation, he went to jail for dog fighting, something he didn’t directly engage in, and comparing his case/evidence with Casey Anthony’s he is way more innocent, what about that woman who enrolled her kids in a school in another district, that their father lived, to give them a better education, they were ready and willing to throw her in jail. But the difference between those people and Casey Anthony is their race.

I have no doubt in my mind that if Casey Anthony was black, not only would she have been found guilty on all accounts, she would have had added charges placed on her. This is why I titled the post as I did because this is a truth well-known in America. That lady should not have gotten off with simply lying to the police, heck I may not be a lawyer, but isn’t that at least 5 to 10 alone? But she’s getting out in 2 weeks, smh.

I believe yesterday or two days ago I saw an article on Yahoo about how there may have been a tampering of evidence in the Casey Anthony trial. I will let the public be the judge of the stupidity going on with this trial because I will get a headache if I attempt myself. But without a doubt this is a clear case of White privilege gone wrong in America.

I want to say again R.I.P to the little three-year old Anthony, she didn’t deserve such an ending.
