New Orleans police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who was last seen leaving her job at a Bourbon Street bar. On Saturday about 5 a.m., Nora Ann Miles Walston, 27, punched the time clock at Bourbon Street Blues Company, at 441 Bourbon Street. She has not been seen or heard from since, police said.

Before she went to work on Friday, a friend of Walston’s walked her to the bus stop at Canal and N. Galvez streets, police said.

Walston is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs about 145 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black pants and a brown hooded jacket. She was also wearing a pink purse.

Anyone with information about the location of Walston is asked to notify 911 or CrimeStoppers at 504.822.1111 or 1.877.903.7867. Eighth District Detective Jason Sloan can be contacted at 504.658.6730.

  1. This is ridiculous!! I hope nopd get on their job, because me being a 22 y/o female who sometimes may have to walk the streets alone is really scaring me!! To whoever the person is kidnapping our females, weather it’s one person two ppl, related or non related to the others. LEAVE US ALONE! We didn’t do anything to you! Why why why!’ Just stop it please!!

    • Very soon, I want to do a post on the ways women can protect themselves. There are far too many missing women, especially Black women. I think it is important to carry mase and for a lot of women to take gun training classes, fill out the proper registration to carry a gun because this is reidiculous. Thank you for your comment.

  2. Is nopd ever really going to get a hint @ wats going on?? Because we really just don’t know nothing. All their seeming to know is that their missing!! That’s all! Smh , it’s so sad, New Orleans is so small we need to know wats going on for our safety!! More cameras up, more police on the street. Especially a place like bourbon & all threw the French quarter area.. That’s why I never took a job in the French quarters because I was scared of wat might happen leaving late after work! We need help here this is to many of our females gone missing with no real answers as to wat happened . Lets get this person out of New Orleans & off the street period

    • I definitely agree. I found it strange how many times New Orleans popped up as the missing people’s location. I do not know or understand what is going on. Its unfortunate that media coverage, which would help to spread the word, is not given on a national base.
